Rounds
Learn how rounds help you organize your project.
Use rounds to organize the multiple experimental cycles associated to your project. Within rounds you can create tasks, through which you interact with Cradle's machine learning. One round will typically include all the tasks to design a plate of sequences with a specific experimental goal, test in the lab, and upload and analyze the results. You can create as many tasks as needed in any round.
Creating rounds
To create a round go to your project and navigate to Rounds. Create a new task and + New task and assign it to the round you want to create. To create a round through the API learn more in /rounds.
Round organization
Each round is typically associated with a specific time frame or experimental goal. By doing so you are able to track the progress of your project round over round. Organize your rounds in a way that works well for your team and organization.
Example of round organization
You are looking to optimize binding affinity of an antibody. In your first round, you want to generate a variety of binders based on existing wet lab data. You set binding affinity as your primary objective. You set melting temperature and expression constraints to make sure you meet your developability goals.
In the first round you have generated some promising binders. In the second round you tighten your developability constraints to see if you can maintain the strong binders while maintaining a higher melting temperature and expression rate.
